Exceeding customer expectations and advancing business capabilities are undoubtedly key focuses for any successful business. But having a vision and duty that goes beyond the goal of turning a profit gives companies a larger sense of purpose. According to charities.org, $5 billion is raised annually through workplace giving.1 And last year, the total charitable giving by some of the largest U.S. companies rose by approximately 5 percent.2
But how does corporate social responsibility impact the bottom line? Truth is, it doesn’t—not clearly, anyway. But there is long-term, hidden value that could truly set your business apart. First of all, strategic use of philanthropy boosts morale and collaboration within the company. It also increases customer loyalty; stats show that 90 percent of Americans today would switch to a brand that is associated with a good cause, given similar price and quality, compared to 66 percent in 19933. With the evolution of technology and global accessibility, consumers are leaning on businesses to take the lead in propelling social and environmental change.
WHAT’S IN A NAME: MAXIMIZING THE CARE IN EASYCARE
Since EasyCare’s inception, our goal has been to change the way that people buy and own cars, aiming to improve the relationship between dealers and car buyers through a variety of resources.
But when it comes to making a difference in the world, corporate giving also ranks high on our list. We encourage volunteer work by providing employees annual PTO volunteer hours and coordinating volunteer opportunities for them. In addition, we continuously collect in-kind and monetary donations for organizations big and small; the United Way, YMCA, the Salvation Army, Tents for Troops, and our local elementary school are just a few of the organizations that we support.
In the RV space, we’ve supported Tents for Troops for the past two years—becoming one of their platinum sponsors. We firmly believe in their mission of partnering with RV parks and campgrounds across the nation to offer complimentary camp/RV sites to active military and their families. To date, Tents for Troops offers over 300 participating parks in 47 states.
And there’s strength in numbers beyond our own team. Recently, one of our RV dealership partners, Airstream Adventures Northwest, donated three airstreams to Tents for Troops. By collaborating with other businesses in the industry, and maximizing efforts within our own organization, we’re able to truly expand our philanthropic footprint.
EasyCare provides a full suite of the industry’s only Motor Trend recommended F&I benefits, along with a complete range of innovative dealer solutions—get more information at www.easycare.com/dealers.
